A call to action: setting the wheels in motion

A few weeks ago, I ran across a meme on social media filled with words I needed to hear. Maybe you do, too. Basically, you wouldn’t plant a seed, and then dig it up every few minutes to see if it grew. Right? So why do we insist on second-guessing ourselves? Our hard work? Our decisions? What about the practice of patience, in which we stop overthinking and, instead, continue to water our seeds? At any given moment, I can be over-the-top enthusiastic about a story I’m working on, but then—just as quickly—I wonder if I really know how to string two words together. In essence, I’ve dug up the seeds of my ideas and watched as my hopes scattered away. What about that dream of yours? Do you gain something from delaying action or by remaining stuck? Here’s a challenge: What if you set the wheels in motion and keep doing the thing to make it happen? I’ll join you.

What dream have you delayed?
