Adjusting our pace: walking in step with our Shepherd
Last year, I switched from a paper planner to the digital variety—a big transition since I adopted the use of Franklin planners in the late 80s. For me, however, there’s still something about flipping the page on a physical calendar to reveal a brand-new month. Recently, I purchased a large desk-top version to help me better organize my time as I prepare for a big household change—stay tuned for more updates in a few weeks—and commitments for interviews, guest blog posts, the launch of The Fire Chief’s Surprise, as well as everyday household responsibilities, freelance work, and preliminary planning for my next book. But when I started to fill in my June obligations, my anxiety spiraled. And then the Lord’s still small voice whispered: Do not worry about tomorrow. A clear reminder to walk in step with our Shepherd, because His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Besides, tomorrow has enough worries of its own.
