A big or little thing called perspective: it’s all in how you look at it
Welcome to my inaugural blog post! Although it actually marks my 959th entry (you can access previous posts at Always The Write Time Blog), I’m excited to hang out with you at my new home—where today’s topic focuses on perspective, brought to you by a recent hike in the mountains. While my surroundings changed from level ground to rocky cliffs, I recalled my first (of two) moves to the Southwest and how, four months later, my husband and I returned to our Midwest home. Not only did I miss my family, but I felt trapped in the Sonoran Valley. Fast-forward ten years to a second move and more than two decades of desert dwelling. Obviously, the mountains didn’t change. But my perspective did a 180. Rather than hem me in, I now view them as an escape…my happy place. And each time I hit the trails—or gaze upon their glory—I feel at home.
What’s an area in your life that requires a shift in perspective?
