Looking back: recounting the past to inform the future

As we approach the final days of 2021 and look toward the new year, it’s the perfect time to recount the milestone moments that paved our way to present, so that we can better inform our future. Looking back on my own journey, I celebrated the publication of my first two fiction stories — five-minute romances in Woman’s World, as well as inclusion in the magazine’s special holiday romance edition; launched my website and monthly emails; finished writing the first draft of Book 1 in my novella series; submitted three creative pieces; marked a decade at my day job; enjoyed the getaway of a lifetime with my husband (you can read about it here) and, last but not least, broke my wrist. What a ride filled with both twists and turns — resulting in a surplus of opportunities to learn, let go and laugh. So that my past becomes the stepping stone in which I create a future grounded with intention.
