Forget the past: doing a new thing
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness… ~ Isaiah 43:18-19
Recently, I wrote about unpacking #allthefeels. And I still have a more to unpack. I think, in a way, it’s been about grieving the loss of my “old life;” e.g., the ease, security and familiarity. Yet I also miss the tangibles—like my rolling island in our old kitchen, and the spacious laundry room and Arizona room (although, our front and back decks do garner breathtaking views). I miss conveniences and the mundane. While it was 100 percent our choice—and answer to prayer—that doesn’t mean transition comes naturally, or without difficulties. It takes patience, perseverance and prayer. And springing forth to explore different trails, and saying “yes” to new (and sometimes scary) opportunities. Each one serving to forge a way in the wilderness.
What new thing are you doing?
