One size fits all: the gift of kindness
As you reflect on the past year, does a gift of kindness stand out to you—one that you either received or extended? For my husband and me, the story begins following a major household move from the Southwest Valley suburbs to Northern Arizona’s Rim Country. Three weeks after relocating to our fixer-upper cabin in the middle of the forest, the pastor of the church that we had attended a handful of times reached out to schedule a meet-and-greet. Unfortunately, Bob and I had just contracted COVID. Although our pastor offered a helping hand should we need it, we attempted to power through on our own. That is, until we realized we didn’t possess the strength to make the trip to town for supplies. You can read all about our unconventional welcoming committee in the Circle of Kindness column of Woman’s World Dec. 5 issue. A reminder that kindness is a one-size-fits-all gift we can all afford to give this holiday season.
How will you extend kindness today?
