Rootbound vs. adventure-bound: selecting your course
I’ve discovered I can’t sit still for long anymore. Oh, I’m able to stay put for 45-minute writing sprints that often morph into an hour and a half until I force myself to take a break. But when it comes to where I’m planted—whether in a particular home, vocation or season—my roots seem to need more space in which to grow. This became clear to my husband and me recently as we approach the one-year anniversary since we settled into our mountain “retreat.” While we still enjoy #cabinlife, we’ve gotten an itch to explore fresh ideas and dream new dreams. And one sure-fire way to initiate movement and create possibilities is by asking the question: “What if?” If you’d like to keep up with our ongoing adventures, be sure to visit After the Leap and sign up for my Always the Write Time monthly author newsletter that contains freebies, exclusive content, opportunities to win merch and a fun way to engage.

“What if?” is one of my favorite questions!
It seems to fling open the door to usher in those “God-sized” ideas.
