Summer blog series: extending hope through words of encouragement
Welcome to my summer blog series! If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know I believe it’s always the write time for hope for new beginnings, humor in the messy middle and heart for happy endings. I’m kicking off the series with a focus on hope—and how it relates to The Letter Project, a passion project of mine that I mentioned in my Thanksgiving post. According to the faith-based nonprofit’s website, seven in 10 girls believe they’re not good enough. But TLP’s mission is to change their minds, one letter at a time. It gives me such joy to partner with other letter writers to offer extra love and support to girls and women who struggle with all sorts of issues. I think we can all agree that life is hard. Yet it only takes a simple word of encouragement to change another person’s outlook. And perhaps even pave the way for a new beginning.
What words of encouragement have you extended this week?
