Summer blog series: extending hope through connection (recipe included!)
Thanks for joining me for week no. 5 of my summer blog series. You can click here to catch up. When was the last time you connected with someone and the experience lifted your spirits? What drew the two of you together—a common love of reading, a mutual focus on nutrition or fitness, a similar faith or vocation? Connection creates hope that there’s someone else to whom we can relate. When I develop connections with people who share comparable tastes, I feel an added sense of hope. Lately, I’ve been taking health-conscious baby steps to consume more whole foods—those closest to their most natural, unprocessed form, like whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, yogurt, legumes, nuts and seeds. If you also share a similar mindset, be sure to click the link for an easy and healthy chicken stir fry recipe I recently discovered on a friend’s Facebook page. And feel free to connect in the comments section.
What was a recent connection that gave you hope?
