Compound interest: accruing momentum for the climb

It’s hard to believe the end of February is right around the corner. On the creative front, the year began with a big bang. Within the first two weeks, I received green lights on a few of my submissions to smaller publications. I don’t know about you, but when things get off to a stellar start, it’s easy for me to get distracted by the hoopla. And I took my eyes off my goals. By month end, my momentum resembled a faceplant vs. a gradual climb—a good reminder to not despise the small beginnings, right? As well as to keep “doing the thing” to move us closer toward achieving our goals  (building habits, etc.); e.g., accruing compound interest. While it may be trite, slow and steady wins the race, no matter the goal. It turns out I only had to wait until Jan. 31 to get the news of my lifetime.
