Getting real: ‘I got the call’ Q&A with Harlequin is live!

I was excited when my editor invited me to participate in the ‘I got the call’ Q&A series with my new publisher. But even though I’ve conducted interviews in the industry from the driver’s seat for years, the view from the passenger seat looked a bit scarier! So after drafting my responses, I asked my husband for feedback. Honestly, I thought he’d be wowed by my well-thought-out replies. What he gave me was constructive criticism, instead. Be real. Grit. Make me want to get to know you. Turns out it’s easier for me to delve into my character’s inner selves than my own. I took his advice, however, and returned to the writing board. And when I asked for his opinion a second time, his head nod served as the green light I needed. I’m not sure about grit, but if you’d like to get to know the real me a little better, check out my interview with Harlequin.

How easy is it for you to be ‘real?’
